Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Generate creative ideas for the visual implementation of print and digital communications
- Stay on top of trends in design and marketing
- Exhibit proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience in Figma and After Effects a plus
- Experience with social media graphics or web design a plus
- Prepare final production-ready designs for appropriate communications channels
- Attend press checks on managed print projects
- Coordinate and/or conduct photography/videography for clients and the agency as needed
- Follow brand standards for the agency and each of its clients
- Meet all deadlines within the budget constraints (time and dollars) provided
- Generate project specs and request production cost estimates from vendors
Quality Control and Assurance
- Serve as an agency champion for continuous quality improvement
- Establish systems, policies and procedures for ensuring quality work throughout all facets of the agency
- Discover and reflect the healthy tension between quality and profitability, helping to find the unique balance for each Neuger client and the agency itself
- Assist in development of communications and marketing plans, including design strategy
- Coordinate quality checks including proofing, press checks, style checks, etc., stepping in to provide direct support where needed
- Work with client team leads to ensure clients are effectively served with quality products/services
- Participate in client brainstorming sessions
Agency Strategy & Support
- Assist in generating new business and preparing proposals
- Help broaden our perspectives in serving clients and growing the agency
- Participate in wide-ranging brainstorms
- Participate in company meetings and events
- Track time by the quarter-hour in the Neuger project management system
- Vigorously pursue the agency core values of integrity, excellence and success
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of agency or in-house graphic design experience
- A bachelor of arts degree in a graphic design-related field is preferred
- Proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Illustration and photography skills and experience a plus
Office Culture
We’re a highly collaborative team, both with our clients and with each other. Since our team has diverse skill sets to support all of our services, we are keenly aware of what goes into making a client project successful – and that’s by taking the work, not ourselves, seriously. We provide a hybrid work setting with offices in Northfield, Minn., and the North Loop of Downtown Minneapolis. Employees are expected to be in one of the offices at least three days per week with substantial flexibility on where they work the days they are not in the office.
