Annual Report Design Refresh for Minnesota Masonic Charities
Minnesota Masonic Charities needed an energetic, fresh storytelling piece for its 2018 annual report for the Minnesota Masonic Children’s Clinic for Communication Disorders. Neuger designed a report that captured the work of the organization in order to share vital information with its stakeholders and encourage more support from potential and existing donors.
The Situation
Minnesota Masonic Children’s Clinic for Communication Disorders is a clinic in Duluth, Minnesota, that, at no cost, provides critical treatment to families with children who are desperate to communicate.
To tell their amazing, life-changing story, they needed an energetic storytelling piece for their 2018 annual report.
The Communications Challenge
2018 was an important milestone year for the Children’s Clinic as Minnesota Masonic Charities assumed responsibility of the clinic, after it was sponsored for nearly 30 years by the Scottish Rite Foundation.
This milestone meant that a sophisticated, fresh design was important in setting the stage for this new phase in the organization’s journey.
The Strategy
We needed to create a piece that spoke to several key audiences – donors and other funders, families impacted by the organization, community members, stakeholders and more – and communicated the serious and important work of the organization while still remaining a bit playful in the design.
The Results
Through bright colors and graphics, an engaging layout and key facts, the report shares the organization’s impact firsthand, highlights opportunity and growth from the past year, and shows that every child has limitless potential.
The report displays a fresh, modern take on the organization’s work, which fit right in with the fact that new responsibility for the organization had been assumed that year.
The report was well-received by clinic leadership and donors, and we have further partnered with the Minnesota Masonic Children’s Clinic for Communication Disorders, executing the design of the 2019 annual report.
