Neuger Communications Group has announced that the next Common Good Breakfast Series event, slated for Thursday, February 25, will focus on the many changes our media landscape has experienced over the last decade. The event will be held at the Minneapolis Hilton.

At this breakfast, panelists will lead the audience through ways the Internet and social media have kept the role of journalists and the state of the media in constant flux for more than a decade. “Media’s Changing Role” will explore the latest trends in how we consume news and what that means for businesses, news organizations, journalists and social networks that are looking to earn media coverage.

Presented by Neuger Communications Group the event will feature presentations by Stephanie Curtis, online editor for Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) News; Rick Kupchella, founder of BringMeTheNews; and Dale Kurschner, editor-in-chief for Twin Cities Business.

  • Stephanie Curtis produces content for MPR News. She has produced events, daily news shows and documentaries, and was one of the pioneers who launched 89.3, The Current, which focuses on playing local music. Curtis also discusses movies everyday on “The Cube Critics.”

He founded BringMeTheNews to serve as a direct news source for the public and a news network for other media around Minnesota. In 2015, Kupchella sold BringMeTheNews to the Pohlad Group. He is now involved in innovative new media companies, including his roles as the Founder/CEO, PresentNation, an online health education network and i. e. network, a marketing and communications consultancy and production group.
