Bud Grimes
Vice President for Client Development
Bud fosters client relationships through thoughtful consultation. Seeking to thoroughly understand an organization’s communications issues, he helps to identify where a good fit exists between client needs and our strengths. He also helps to develop customized solutions to help achieve the desired outcomes.
More than 25 years of diverse experience in marketing and sales – with exposure to industries ranging from healthcare to telecommunications to automotive to medical products – enables Bud to step inside a wide variety of businesses and rapidly comprehend their communications challenges and opportunities. Prior to joining Neuger Communications Group, Bud held several executive positions including a stint as principal of his own consulting agency, Grimes Marketing Solutions. He has an outstanding depth and breadth of experience in the strategic design, development, implementation and sales of integrated marketing initiatives.
Bud earned his bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from St. Olaf College, where he also concentrated in social studies and education. He has studied at universities in Taiwan and Thailand, and taught at an international school in India. He is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School.
A voracious reader and daily puzzle aficionado, Bud also enjoys playing golf and taking bike trips. Over the course of two summers, he once built by hand a 90-ton, 150-foot-long boulder retaining wall in his backyard. He lives with his wife, Suz, in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; they are parents of two grown daughters, and share their home with a high-energy yellow lab.
